Set in and around the picture-perfect UNESCO World Heritage site of Nelson’s Dockyard, is the prestigious Antigua Sailing Week. This is one of the world’s finest regattas, drawing thousands of serious sailors and the world’s top racing boats to compete in five challenging days of racing. The Antiguan hospitality, combined with the famous social scene and fun-filled Lay Day activities, is a regatta not to be missed.


Snorkelling

5am Hike Club

The 5am Hiking Club was formed sometime in October 2009. The name was derived by two friends, Oral Evanson and Connie Richmond, and 8 other friends who decided to journey to Falmouth for the start of the hike which ended up at the famous Rendezvous Bay. This is a perfect nature-lovers hike, through beautiful, exotic landscapes. Perfect too, for early risers.

WILDLIFE ADVENTURES 

Frigate Bird Sanctuary

Antigua’s sister island Barbuda is home to the largest Frigate Bird Colony in the western hemisphere. This colony is located in the capital of Barbuda - Codrington - in the Codrington Lagoon and is only accessible by a short boat trip with a knowledgeable tour guide.

Turtle Watching

Journey by boat to a deserted beach for this wonderful Antigua adventure and witness the nesting and hatching of Hawksbill turtles.

Wildlife Watching

In addition to birdwatching in Barbuda, the off-shore islands – Long Island and Great Bird Island – also offer outstanding opportunities for birdwatchers. There is also the possibility of finding the previously endangered Antigua Racer Snake, which can only be found on Great Bird Island.
